100 Days
Jersey painter Jason Butler - sponsored by HSBC Private Bank
Preview Party Date: Tuesday 4th March
Exhibition Dates: Wednesday 5th March to Wednesday 25th March
Jason Butler and Sam Evans (from Mines Awareness Trust) travelled to Rwanda - paid for by HSBC Private Bank - to visually document the mine clearance work MAT has carried out in the country. After their civil war, and the genocide in 1994, which saw approximately a million Tutsi and Hutu killed in the space of 100 days, Rwanda was left with 16 minefields. The effect this had on the Rwandese people both physically and psychologically was obviously huge.
75% of any sale will go to MAT which will help with our continuing projects in Rwanda, Kosovo and Southern Sudan.
Jason has had his work accepted twice for The British Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery.
