I have visited Alexandre a number of times in France over the past few years and he has the one of the best exhibition spaces I have seen. It is part house, part gallery and there is a large round balcony circling the room. Some fish swim about in a Victorian bath-tub and a glass hole in the floor means you can see down into the room below.

 

Alexander usually paints in themes - sometimes he only wants to use black, sometimes he only paints roses and sometimes there are just lots of bight blue jugs. Alexandre started the world famous (or Brittany famous at least!) Onze Aout art festival which is still going strong and grows larger every year.
